Paintings & Paper
Oil, acrylic, watercolour, gouache, pastel, pencil, ink — flat works of any medium. We control the lighting to eliminate glare and surface reflections, and colour-match the digital file to the original.

Three-dimensional works photographed from multiple angles. We'll discuss how many views you need - front, side, detail shots - and set up the appropriate background and lighting for the piece.

Photographing an entire body of work for an application, grant, exhibition proposal, or personal archive. We can work through a collection systematically -consistent results across every piece.

How it works
Step 1 Bring your work in
Drop your artwork at 95 Keen Street. For larger or fragile works, contact us first so we can plan the setup before you bring it in.
Step 3 We photograph it
Shot in-studio under controlled lighting. High-resolution files, colour-matched to the original.
Step 2 We set up for the medium
Flat works, varnished surfaces, and 3D works each need a different lighting approach. We sort that out before we shoot —-you don't need to brief us on the technicalities.
Step 4 Files delivered digitally
You receive your files ready for use — printer submission, gallery portals, grant applications, or archival storage.
Colour accurate. Glare-free.
Print-ready.
We photograph under controlled studio lighting — the same setup used for commercial artwork reproduction. Every file is checked against the original before it leaves.
Frequently asked questions

High-resolution TIFF and JPEG. We also supply a low resolution JPEG for your convenience when emailing.

Bring it in and we'll see. Most flat works up to approximately 2xx5m can be shot in-studio without issue. Larger works — murals, oversized canvases — may require an on-site visit. Contact us to discuss.

Works under glass are more difficult to shoot without reflections. We can try with the glass in place; for best results we'd recommend removing the glass if it's possible to do safely. We'll let you know what's achievable when we see the piece.

Not necessary— you can drop the work off and collect it when it's done. For larger collections or works requiring special handling, it can be helpful to be present for the first piece so we can confirm the setup together.

Generally a few business days depending on the number of works. We'll confirm timing when you drop off.

Yes. We colour-match the digital files to the original under controlled lighting. If you have specific colour accuracy requirements, let us know and we'll work to those specs.
